David Hadley - The Godfather
What a player this man is!
David Hadley is a top 10 Bristol player who has been drafted in by Simon Monks and his Invaders B side for last season. Only a few players can get near him - Josh Branch runs him close. On this evening Pete Williams also had some immense rallies vs him with a very attacking style.
The Godfather has the ability to just absorb your shots and then hit hard counters of his own. This makes it incredibly difficult to play against as you know that every single shot will be coming back with only minimal mistakes.
I was no match for his in these games as you’ve just seen! It was all over far too quickly!
The other big thing to The Godfather’s game is his mindset and mental side of the game. He laughs and jokes around with you off of the table, fairly quiet lad but really pleasant and mild mannered.
However once on the table, wow - just wow, all of that changes!
He is a lot more stern and calculated and gives nothing away in his expression. Very hard character to read then and has such a will to win. I guess that’s what it takes to be as good as he is locally - massive winner’s mentality.
I really enjoyed playing him all the same as I should have never been near the same table as someone of his calibre, and David if you read this then all the best with your games going into the 2025/26 season and beyond!
